Terms of service

Cutproof · Last updated: 8 November 2026

1. Who we are and who these terms are for

Cutproof (“we”) is operated by Andrei Velent, a sole trader registered in the Polish business register (CEIDG), ul. Straganiarska 20/22 lok. 35, 80-837 Gdańsk, Poland, NIP 5223258005, REGON 525284838. Contact: support@pixfact.com.

These terms apply between us and the business that creates a Cutproof account (“you”), usually an agency or a freelancer who makes clips for clients. Cutproof is for businesses, not for consumers. By creating an account you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

2. What Cutproof does

You upload podcast episodes for your clients. Cutproof transcribes them, suggests moments using each client's brief, renders vertical clips with captions, checks them before sending, and gives you review links where your client approves clips or asks for changes. You download approved clips.

3. Free trial and pilots

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Paddle takes a card at checkout and charges nothing during the trial; if you cancel before it ends, nothing is charged at all. Otherwise the plan starts and is billed at the end of the trial. During the trial you can process up to 10 hours of recordings.

We may also invite an agency to a free pilot without a card, until a date we agree by email. Cutproof is new: the trial and pilots have no service levels.

4. Plans and fair use

  • Starter: up to 3 active clients, $49 per month or $490 per year.
  • Agency: up to 10 active clients, $99 per month or $990 per year.
  • Studio: up to 25 active clients, $199 per month or $1990 per year; each client above 25 adds $8 per month or $80 per year.
  • Fair use: your plan includes 10 hours of source recordings per client per calendar month (UTC), shared by all your clients. An episode counts once, by its longest track, only when its moments are found. Failed processing, re-renders and new moment searches do not count.
  • When the hours are used, new episodes wait until the next month or until you move to a bigger plan. An episode that started within the hours is finished. We never charge for usage over the hours.
  • Hours do not carry over to the next month.

5. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.

  • Plans renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
  • You can cancel in one click on the Plan page. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period and is not renewed. You can undo the cancellation before then.
  • For yearly plans we email you 7 days before renewal.
  • When you switch plans, Paddle charges or credits the difference for the rest of the period.
  • Refunds: see our refund policy.

6. Your content and your clients

  • You keep all rights to what you upload and to the clips made from it. You give us the right to process it only to provide Cutproof to you.
  • You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload each recording, including those of your client and of the people who appear in it.
  • Your clients use review pages on your behalf. You decide who receives a link and can revoke it.

7. AI and checks

Transcripts and moment suggestions are made with AI services, and captions come from the transcript. Our checks (names against your glossary, face in frame, length, sentence boundaries, swearing) reduce mistakes but cannot rule them out. Watch every clip before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish.

8. Data processing on your behalf

For episode content and reviews we act as your processor under GDPR Art. 28. We process it only on your instructions as given through Cutproof; keep it confidential and limit access to the operator; protect it with appropriate security; use the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy and tell you by email 14 days before adding one, so you can object or close your account; help you answer requests from the people concerned; tell you without undue delay about a personal data breach affecting your content; and delete it within 30 days after you close your account or on request. You can ask us for information needed to show compliance.

9. Acceptable use

Do not upload content you have no right to use, content that is illegal, or try to break, overload or get around the limits of Cutproof. We may suspend an account that does, after telling you why where we can.

10. Availability and liability

We work to keep Cutproof available and your files safe, but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Keep your own copies of source files. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost clients. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending

You can stop using Cutproof and close your account at any time by writing to us. We may end these terms with 30 days' notice, refunding any prepaid period not used.

12. Changes and law

We will email you 30 days before changes that affect you. Polish law applies; courts in Gdańsk have jurisdiction.
